Marcus Tullius took no notice of tresean gore and won by knockout in the second fight of the preliminary card of UFC 314, on Saturday night (12), in a duel valid for the middleweight category (up to 83,9 kg). After several problems during the trip to Miami, the Minas Gerais native had his first fight in a numbered event and left the octagon with a beautiful triumph. This was the tenth consecutive victory for Matuto, another representative of Chute Boxe Diego Lima.

The Brazilian started the fight with good combinations of punches and kicks, as well as an interesting variation of blows, attacking his opponent both in the body and head. Gore, in turn, moved forward and tried to block Tulio's attacks. The American connected a strong left cross at one point, which left the Minas Gerais native visibly stunned.

In the final seconds of the round, it was Matuto's turn to take his opponent to the ground after landing a left-handed cross. Gore recovered and held out until the end of the round. The American returned for the second round with good kicks to the calf, while Tulio continued to vary his strikes.
Matuto landed a powerful kick to his opponent's head. He then went on the attack and landed heavy punches on Gore, who tried to recover but was unable to avoid the Brazilian's momentum. Referee Marc Godard stopped the fight after three minutes and 16 seconds.
In the post-fight interview, Tulio revealed to Joe Rogan that he injured his right hand at the beginning of the fight, and even took the chance to challenge the Italian Marvin vettori, one of the big names in the division.

Representing the academy in UFC 314, Michael Oleksiejczuk brushed off the bad moment, took no notice of Sedriques Dumas and knocked out his opponent in the first round in a duel valid for the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg). With a sharp exchange, the Polish fighter knocked down his opponent with a hard left blow and concluded the service with a devastating sequence of ground and pound, forcing the referee to stop the fight, despite protests from Dumas.
With the result, Michael Oleksiejczuk recovers from a three-game losing streak and wins for the first time since August 2023.
On the other side, Sedriques Dumas unable to follow up the victory over Denis Tiuliulin and loses for the second time in the last three appearances.

After the triumph of Marcus Tullius, Sumudaerji defeated Mitch Raposo by split decision of the judges in a very balanced duel, valid for the flyweight category (up to 56,7 kg). With the victory, the Chinese returned to the winning column and broke a sequence of three previous negative results.
Both athletes brought a fast and intense pace throughout the fight. While Raposo tried to time his shots to land good takedowns, the Chinese fighter moved with intelligence and fluidity, as well as landing good straight punches to his opponent's head and body.
Despite successfully avoiding being controlled on the ground, Sumudaerji was taken down at some important moments in the fight, especially when both were close to the fence. In addition to investing in takedowns, the American used feints and level changes to connect good punches throughout the 15 minutes, imposing himself physically.
After 15 very balanced minutes, the Chinese fighter emerged victorious by split decision. Two judges scored it 29 to 28 in his favor, while the third judge saw the American win by the same score.

Already in the first fight of the event, Nora Cornolle won Hailey Cowan by submission in the second round. Despite being known for her stand-up skills, the Frenchwoman defended herself against the takedowns and managed to leave the octagon with a victory built exclusively on grappling.
Cornolle sought the clinch for most of the fight, prioritizing her Muay Thai skills to land short elbows. In contrast, Cowan used takedowns to neutralize her opponent. In the first round, the Frenchwoman was controlled on the ground despite attacking with an armbar from the guard.
In the second round, she defended herself from a hip takedown and went for her opponent's back. A few moments later, she managed to strangle the American with a rear naked choke, just before the timer reached two minutes.
After the triumph, the Frenchwoman took advantage of the interview inside the octagon to challenge the Argentine Ailin Perez, one of the most popular names in the category.
