On the morning of this Friday (11), Alexander Volkanovsky e Diego lopes passed the challenge against the scales at the official weigh-in of UFC 314, made weight and confirmed the duel for the title in the main fight of this Saturday's event (12).
Third in the ranking and riding high on five consecutive victories, Diego lopes was the first of the 26 athletes selected for the UFC 314 stepping on the scale. As usual, the Brazilian had no difficulty in reaching 65,7 kg in the featherweight division.
Former champion and one of the biggest names in the history of the category, Alexander Volkanovsky came next and also weighed 65,7 kg without any apparent difficulty.
Jean Silva fails to make weight on first attempt
The main occurrence of the official weigh-in had as protagonist Jean Silva. Escalated to face Bryce mitchell in the third most important fight of the card, the Brazilian featherweight (up to 65,7 kg) was the last to step on the scale and failed in his first attempt to make weight.

Patrick Pitbull, Virna jandiroba e Marcus Tullius stayed within the limits of their respective categories, as did their opponents, and are confirmed for this Saturday's event.
