Durinho leaves friendship aside and says he doesn't see Garry's chances against Prates as a good thing

Personal friend of Ian Gary and even with a marked presence in the Irishman's corner in a past fight, Gilbert Durinho he wasted sincerity when analyzing his partner's duel against Carlos Prates. Aware of his compatriot's rise, the former title challenger stated that he does not view the match with Chute Boxe athlete Diego Lima favorably. The fighters will face each other on April 26, at UFC Kansas City.

“Tough fight. I already brought the Carlos Prates on (my) channel, I have a very good friendship with Ian Gary, we connected several things, I told him to go to Brazil, we exchange ideas about some fights and he always sends his opinion. But I didn't like this fight as much as he (Garry), to be quite honest. Continuing with his speech, Durinho highlighted the need for greater preparation to face a high-caliber athlete like Prates.

“I think the path to Carlos Prates is to keep the fight standing and defend the takedown, if the Ian Gary try to fall. Little by little he can hurt himself Ian Gary, maybe even a knockout.
