Volkanovski opens up about his career ahead of facing Diego Lopes UFC 314: 'biggest fight of my life'

Veteran did not hide the difficulty of recovering from two defeats, but demonstrates self-confidence

Volka has lost three of his last four fights. He is coming off two losses in the UFC. He was knocked out by Islam makhachev No. UFC 294 and then suffered another knockout to Ilia Topuria. “I’ve never been in this situation before. I’ve never come off such a big comeback. I’ve never come off two losses. So it’s definitely the biggest fight of my career. Everyone’s going to say, ‘Oh yeah, you’ve done enough.’ But I haven’t. I can do so much more, and it starts this weekend,” Volkanovski said. 

At 36 years old, Volkanovski is close to completing 10 years in the UFC. In 16 appearances in the octagon, the fighter has only been surpassed by Islam makhachev e Ilia Topuria. Against the Russian, the fighter appeared in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg), both being called up at the last minute for the fight.
