On the eve of UFC 314, a sound has been keeping me awake Bryce mitchell. To be more precise, a bark. But it is not an ordinary bark, but rather that of a cold, calculating 'fighting dog' who still does not know what it is like to lose in the octagon. Jean Silva is prepared for face the challenge most important of his career this Saturday (12), in Miami (USA), when a victory could finally put him in the category ranking featherweight (up to 65,7 kg) of the organization.
The dog barks made by Jean Silva have become his trademark. Fans go crazy every time he starts making the sounds, whether before or after finishing off his opponents. Including his controversial opponent in UFC 314 has even mentioned that Brazilians are dominated by a 'legion of demons' every time they bark.
During the press conference at Media Day on Wednesday (9), Jean thought he heard Mitchell's voice nearby and started barking. But then he realized it wasn't his opponent (but rather the former UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier) and returned to giving interviews. The episode, however, gave rise to a journalist who asked the Brazilian to tell one of the many fights he had on the street, before becoming an MMA professional. (see below)
Jean has already revealed that he was a problem child in school. Martial arts came as a solution to channel that excess energy. He recalled a fight in which he made a curious attack that made him famous at school.
“The craziest street fight, to be honest, was in front of the last school I attended before I was expelled. There was a lazy kid at school and we wanted to see who was the biggest lazy kid. And we got into a fight, got into a fight, I was getting beaten up, fell to the ground and I bit his arm and became famous because of that,” he recalled.
Despite being expelled for the fight, Jean said he returned to his studies afterwards.

The Brazilian knows very well what he will find in the octagon UFC 314. Mitchell is known for grappling and will likely want to take the fight to the ground as a measure to avoid Jean's powerful fists.
The Fighting Nerds team member said he sees no flaws in his opponent's game and detailed his plan.
“I don’t see any gaps, you know, like, see gaps, there’s no such thing. Seeing gaps in an athlete is strange, especially at his level, you know? Only a guy who doesn’t know what he’s doing gives a gap, and he does. And the coolest part is that he knows he’s going to get knocked out. I want to see what he’s made of, I want to know if he’s strong, if his Greco is really good. And when I put him back in front of me, I’m going to cut him off completely, I’m going to knock him out,” he concluded.
