In an environment where competition is often fierce, Jean Silva showed that sportsmanship is up to date. The undefeated fighter from the Fighting Nerds team prepares to deliver the 'beating' he promised in Bryce mitchell No. UFC 314, which takes place this Saturday (12), in Miami (USA). A victory against the controversial American could put the Brazilian in the top 15 of the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg), a category that has become increasingly competitive with the arrival of new talents.

During the Media Day press conference that took place this Wednesday (9), Jean reacted to a question asked by one of the journalists about what he thought of the arrival of Aaron Pico, a promising featherweight who left the PFL to sign with the UFC on Tuesday (8). The new member of the organization led by Dana White revealed that he had the chance to 'sit in the window' when he was offered a duel against the undefeated Movsar Evloev, 4th in the division rankings. However, the Russian fighter's team withdrew from the fight because they expect him to be next in line to try for the title that will be disputed by Alexander Volkanovsky e Diego lopes in this Saturday.
Jean commented on the new competitor's entry without forgetting to mention another recently arrived Brazilian who also makes its debut No. UFC 314: Patrick Pitbull, Bellator record holder who faces Yair Rodrigues on the main card.

“Man, it’s a problem, right? Just like Pitbull signed, it also made the problem worse. Aaron Pico is a problem, he’s crazy, man. But it’s cool, right? So we’ll be able to test, measure strengths between UFC and Bellator in a way, right? So it’ll be cool for us to show the quality, our size and the level that UFC athletes have compared to others. So we’ll start this weekend with Pitbull measuring strengths against Yair Rodrigues, let’s see. It’s all complicated, but it’s cool, man. I think it’s a good promotional game there and for my category it just makes it a little more complicated, because if I had to beat 12, now I have to beat 13”, said Jean.
Jean Silva has four wins in four UFC fights, all by knockout. With a record of 17 wins and three losses, his opponent Bryce mitchell, 13th in the featherweight rankings, is coming off a triumph over the Brazilian kron gracie.
