Former featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg) and with only one defeat in his career in the UFC category, Alexander Volkanovsky could become the biggest name in the history of the division if he defeats Diego lopes this Saturday (12) at UFC 314. The bold opinion came from the company's official narrator Jon Anik, who defended the title to be received by the Australian if he triumphs in Miami.

At 36 years old, Volkanovski is close to completing 10 years in the UFC. In 16 appearances in the octagon, the fighter has only been surpassed by Islam makhachev e Ilia Topuria. Against the Russian, the fighter appeared in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg), both being called up at the last minute for the fight.
