Ruffy reveals 'secret weapon' he plans to have in his corner if he faces Makhachev in the UFC

Reportedly inspired by Conor McGregor, Mauricio Ruffy plans to approach the Irishman in a way that surpasses his style in octagon confrontations. With an eye on a dream duel against Islam makhachev for the lightweight title (up to 70,3kg), the Brazilian revealed that he will have 'Notorious' in his corner, if he faces the champion.

“In the construction of the Ruffy style, there has always been Conor McGregor in the Ruffy style. Conor McGregor has always been one of the guys I looked up to the most, the one who inspired me the most as a fighter. I even have some cool news: I've already invited him to Conor McGregor, the day I go to fight against the Islam makhachev, against the Russian team, Conor will be in my corner and we will have this fight and he will definitely have the taste of victory, of seeing me beat Makhachev, together with Khabib and the whole team there. This will be very special”, declared Ruffy to MMA Junkie.
