Henry Cejudo was the victim of a robbery after a break-in at his studio, located in the metropolitan area of Phoenix, in the United States. The crime occurred in the early hours of Tuesday (8), around 4:4 am, and resulted in the disappearance of his first belt from the organization, won in 2018, in addition to podcast equipment valued at US$ 10 thousand. The information was confirmed by the fighter's producer, Dylan Rush.
According to Rush, who was sleeping on the couch in the room next to Cejudo's residence, the criminal remained motionless for about two minutes in the dark room, blending into the fighter's silhouette. The sound of a shelf collapsing, however, revealed the action. Among the items taken were cameras, computers, microphones and a wallet, according to details passed on to the police.

“I woke up and saw the guy standing there, thinking it was Henry. Then I heard a loud bang, the shelf fell, and he ran away,” the producer reported in a post on Instagram.
The Olympic wrestling medalist even lost a gold medal in a fire in California in 2017. The stolen artifact is the same one he lifted after defeating Demetrious Johnson at UFC 227, becoming flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg) — a title he defended before winning the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg) in 2019.

Henry Cejudo's UFC phase
The incident comes days after the athlete gained notoriety for stopping a suspected drunk driver who crashed into a neighbor's wall in Phoenix. Videos posted on social media show Cejudo restraining the man until police arrived.
The sequence of events contrasts with the fighter's professional phase, who has accumulated three defeats since his return to the octagon in 2023 and is considering a new retirement due to an eye injury suffered in February, against song yadong.
