After defeating Raphael Assuncão at WEC-46, last night, Urijah faber applied to compete for the organization's featherweight belt, held by the Brazilian José Aldo.
The “California Kid” challenged the Nova União athlete in the octagon and says he is ready to regain the title.
“I’m ready to get the belt,” said Faber. “We have a great champion at the moment, José Aldo is a phenomenon. He’s talented and creative, I’d love to go in there and get that belt,” he said.
Present in the cage, José Aldo was quick to respond, improvising his English.
“No one is going to take my belt,” replied the Brazilian.
