Still without a definition in a soap opera that has been dragging on for a few months – and which seems to have a distant outcome – the possible unification fight for the UFC heavyweight title (up to 120,2 kg) between the linear champion, Jon Jones, against the interim champion, Tom aspinall, continues to stir the imagination of the MMA community. After all, who would come out on top in this epic fight?

Well, a former UFC fighter and now coach has an opinion on the matter. The veteran Brad pickett, coach of the promising Lone'er Kavanagh and Nathaniel Wood, claims his compatriot Aspinall could become the first man to win Jon Jones. But with one caveat.
“Honestly, yes and no. Two things. One, it depends on which Jon Jones appears. Jon Jones “He’s the GOAT in my eyes, the best fighter to ever do it. But sometimes when you’ve been at the top for as long as he has been, it’s hard to get motivated. That’s why, to me, he’s not as motivated for the Aspinall fight,” Pickett told 'DAZN News via NetBet'.

Pickett highlighted Aspinall's power as a key weapon in his compatriot's arsenal and even made a, well, somewhat peculiar comparison.
“And that can be a very dangerous thing. So we all see Tom aspinall, he could knock anybody out. If he had a fight with an elephant, I think he could knock the elephant out. So, for me, he's the closest thing to that," he concluded.
