Slowly, but getting closer to the top 5 lightweights (up to 70,3kg), Paddy Pimblett ensures that he has big plans to be made if he does in fact end up with Michael chandler this Saturday (12), at UFC 314. Keeping an eye on Charles of the Bronx, the Englishman indicated an interest in challenging the Brazilian or Justin gaethje after eventual triumph in Miami.
“I will end the Michael chandler in two rounds. And then I'll fight someone like Charles Oliveira in Abu Dhabi or Justin gaethje. If I beat them, I'll fight for the title in 2026,” Pimblett said during an interview with Fullsend Podcast.

Currently ranked 12th in the division, Pimblett is undefeated in his career with the company and could steal the number seven spot currently held by Chandler. Known for his excellent grappling skills, the Englishman is considered a slight favorite for the fight. So far, this will be the biggest challenge in the promising fighter's career.

On the other hand, Do Bronx and Gaethje have not expressed any interest in measuring their strength against Pimblett. Members of the top 3, the fighters are expecting to become the next challengers for the title, currently held by Islam makhachev. There is still no official commitment defined, but the Brazilian and North American plan upcoming fights so that they will face rivals higher in the ranking.
