Paddy Pimblett arrives at UFC 314 still not knowing what it's like to lose in the organization. The British lightweight (up to 70,3kg) faces the tireless Michael chandler in the co-main event of the event that takes place next Saturday (12), in Miami. Known for his finishing power, 'The Baddy' has been seen by many as the favorite to leave the octagon at the Kaseya Center with his arms raised.

But despite having his grappling as a weapon, Pimblett already suffered from his own medicine the first time he lost in MMA. With a record of 22 wins and three losses, his first setback came from a submission when he was fighting in Cage Warriors, in 2013, when he was just 18 years old. At the time, the Brit had his undefeated record broken when he was choked unconscious by Cameron Else in his fifth professional fight.
Else was an unknown quantity with one win and one loss, while Pimblett was already starting to make a name for himself after a perfect start of four wins from four fights. The expectation was that the Liverpool athlete would continue his undefeated run.
'The Baddy' started quickly, taking guard early in the fight. But as the fight progressed, he was caught in a powerful anaconda choke. Pimblett refused to tap and was made to pay for his bravery. The Brit was already out cold when the referee intervened and was unconscious for 35 seconds after the submission. (see below)
It remains the only knockout loss on Pimblett's record as he prepares for the biggest fight of his career on Saturday night against Michael chandler. Currently ranked 12th in the lightweight division, 'The Baddy' is eyeing a win to break into the top 10 in the division, as the loudmouth American is currently ranked 7th. Chandler has lost four of his last six fights, although all of them have been against elite opponents.
