In an interview with 'Connectcast', Jean ironically stated that his fight against Mitchell will be an exorcism - a direct response to his opponent's accusation that the Brazilian is possessed by demons. Jean Silva suggested that there is internal support for his fight against Bryce mitchell. Without going into details, the Brazilian revealed that he received messages of encouragement even from important figures at the top of the UFC.
“I don’t even know if I can say anything, but even ‘Minota’ sent me an audio message. I can’t even mention the name of the other guy inside who said that… People from high up, maybe even the owner or owners of the UFC (want him to win),” said ‘Lord’.
The rivalry between Jean Silva e Bryce mitchell came about after the Brazilian publicly challenged the American in his post-fight speech at UFC Seattle.
