Former UFC champion Henry Cejudo starred in a scene worthy of a movie on Friday night (04), in Phoenix (USA). While he was in front of his own house, the fighter saw a car violently crash into a neighbor's house and, upon realizing that the occupants were trying to flee, he acted quickly: together with the owner of the property, he detained the suspects and immobilized one of them until the police arrived.
In a statement to the MMA Junkie website, Cejudo highlighted the severity of the accident and stated that if there had been anyone in the room that was hit, they could have died. He also reported that, given the attempted escape by those involved, he took the initiative to restrain them so that they would be held accountable.

“If anyone had been in that room, they would have been dead. All of these kids were lucky to survive. When they got out of the car, I said, ‘Hey, you guys are not going anywhere.’ The homeowner tried to stop them and said they needed to be held accountable. One of them ended up punching my neighbor, and that’s when I had to step in,” Cejudo said.
Cejudo said he had the support of his neighbors to restrain the suspects and described how he physically restrained one of them during the scuffle.
“Pretty much all my neighbors came to help with the situation. I picked him up, knocked him down, slapped him around and basically controlled him. If it had happened a few hours earlier, someone would have been seriously injured,” concluded the former champion.
Outside the octagons since the UFC Seattle, in February, Cejudo already considers retirement, as he still faces the after-effects of an eye injury suffered in the defeat to song yadong.
