In one of the most electrifying moments of the ufc vegas 105, held this Saturday (5), Josh Emmett performed a spectacular takedown against Lerone murphy in the second round, but could not avoid defeat by unanimous decision of the judges. The movement was one of the highlights of a duel marked by opposing strategies in the featherweight category (up to 65,7 kg).

The tension between the two athletes exploded in the first few minutes. Murphy, undefeated in the organization, surprised with a precise elbow that opened a wound on Emmett's forehead in the first round. The American veteran, however, did not back down. Betting on his experience, he pressed in the clinch and attempted takedowns, seeking to neutralize his rival's fast pace.

The turning point in the fight came 2 minutes into the second round. The former Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) champion grabbed Murphy by the legs, lifted him up with force and threw him to the ground in a slam that drew screams from the crowd. The violent fall, however, did not guarantee an advantage. The Brit got up immediately and retaliated with a spinning kick to the body, which left Emmett visibly shaken.

With the unanimous decision of the judges, Lerone murphy maintained his undefeated record in the UFC, while Emmett accumulated his third defeat in his last four fights with the organization's gloves.
