Ode Osbourne interrupted the undefeated trajectory of Luis Gurule with a 'superman punch' in the second round, sealing a knockout victory in the ufc vegas 105, held this Saturday (5). The fight, valid for the flyweight category (up to 56,7 kg), was part of the main card of the event headlined by Josh Emmett e Lerone murphy.
Osbourne arrived at the octagon under pressure due to a sequence of three consecutive defeats in the organization, a scenario that threatened his permanence in the roster.

On the other side, Gurule, a 31-year-old rookie, was looking to cement his debut after winning his UFC contract with a victory in Dana White's Contender Series in 2024.
The crucial moment came at 1:54 of the second round. Using his 9 cm reach advantage, Osbourne connected with a left cross — the famous superman punch — that knocked his opponent off balance. Without giving him time to react, the Jamaican finished the sequence with precise strikes on the ground, forcing referee Jason Herzog to stop the fight.

Boring fight opens the main card
In the middleweight duel (up to 83,9 kg) Torrez Finney e Robert Valentine, the American wasted no time and took advantage of his physical superiority to lift his opponent and throw him to the ground right at the beginning. Valentin quickly tried to get up and took the duel to the fence.
The first round dragged on with the fighters grappling and Finney trying to take the fight to the ground, while 'Robzilla' successfully defended himself. The same scenario was repeated in the second round, with the difference being that Jiu Jitsu was more frequent between the two combatants.
In the third round, the fighters continued their duel clinched. After two minutes of this, the referee separated them. Another minute of grappling against the fence made the referee call for a fight once more. The scene of the 'giant' Finney lifting his opponent to throw him to the ground was repeated several times. The referee called for a fight again at the last minute, but there was no time for anything else.
the rookie Torrez Finney secured victories by split decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28). The undefeated American extended his record to 11 wins. Robert Valentine reached the fifth defeat.
