Recovering after being injured and forced to leave the UFC Seattle, Edson Barboza shows that time has made him rethink his next steps in the organization. Currently in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg), the fighter asked his followers which category he should fight in next and received an unusual answer from his former rival. Paul felder.

The athletes' first meeting took place in 2015, when the Brazilian came out on top and triumphed by unanimous decision after a clash that sent the crowd into a frenzy at UFC on FOX 16. At the time, the athletes were named the protagonists of the 'Fight of the Night', in a card headlined by the rematch between TJ Dillashaw e Renan Barao.
Four years later, Edson and Felder met again in the octagon, this time when both were ranked in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg). Scheduled for the penultimate fight of the UFC 242, the fighters went to the judges' scorecards again and this time it generated great controversy after the American had his arm raised in a split decision.
