Led by the featherweight belt dispute (up to 65,7 kg) between Alexander Volkanovsky e Diego lopes, the starry UFC 314, which takes place on April 12, in Miami, United States, has generated anxiety and expectation not only among MMA fans, but also among fighters, including one of the protagonists of the UFC Las Vegas 105, event this Saturday (5).
In a press conference held last Thursday (3), the veteran featherweight Josh Emmett, who faces the undefeated Lerone murphy this Saturday, commented on the main attractions of UFC 314. The former interim title challenger bet on a victory for Alexander Volkanovsky against the Brazilian Diego lopes.

“I’m really excited to watch. These are two super talented fighters. I feel like Volkanovski being who he is, such a dominant champion, I’m leaning towards him. I think Volkanovski gets the job done. Diego is obviously good at everything and he’s hungry. If he (Diego) wins, it’s going to be by getting him early in the fight, but I think as time goes on, the favoritism will go all the way to Volkanovski,” he said.
Another duel commented on by Emmett, also in the featherweight division, was between Patrick Pitbull e Yair Rodriguez, which marks the debut of the Brazilian, a Bellator legend, in the UFC octagon.
“I know Pitbull. He’s very good. He’s a two-division Bellator champion, but I don’t know. Stylistically, we’ll see very quickly, in the first round. I can argue in favor of both guys, but it will depend on who shows up better and wants more. I think we’ll find out quickly, even in the first few minutes of the fight,” he concluded.
