Called at the last minute to star in the UFC Kansas City on April 26, Ian Machado Garry prepare to face Carlos Prates in the main fight of the event. Despite being linked to Brazil and training at Chute Boxe Diego Lima, the Irishman refuses to foster a friendly atmosphere and continues to provoke the representative of Fighting Nerds.
“When I win, I want your CPF,” Garry declared on his official X account.
In addition to this episode, Ian had already published a video in which he admitted that Prates was a good person, but he still warned him and stated that the world belongs to him, while promising a great fight to MMA fans. At the time, Carlos avoided responding in kind.
Currently ranked seventh in the welterweight rankings (up to 77,1 kg), Ian Gary seeks to return to winning ways after losing its unbeaten record to Shavkat Rakhmonov in his last appearance in the octagon. The fighter was called up in a hurry after a duel between Jamahal hill e Khalil rountree having been canceled and leaving UFC Kansas without a main fight.

With an eye on a possible title fight, the fighters will face each other in a match that could last up to five rounds. More experienced in the Ultimate, Garry opened as a slight favorite with bookmakers for the match. The event will take place on April 26, at UFC Kansas City.
