Considered a great promise in the flyweight division (up to 56,7 kg), Lip Detona faced major challenges in his quick career in the UFC. After suffering his third defeat in four appearances in the octagon, the Brazilian ended up not having his contract renewed and used social media to reveal the news and thank his fans for their support.
“I could not share anything with you, and just let the moment pass, taking advantage of the opportunity I want to thank God for everything, to say that I am happy with my life story, I had a dream of arriving and I arrived, if my story within the UFC will happen in another opportunity I am not sure, but I am sure that my dreams will never die and I will continue to believe in myself and my dreams!”, Lipe posted on his official account on Instagram.

Still during an open letter, the athlete avoided lamenting and guaranteed evolution for future commitments in MMA.
“I could complain, but I prefer to thank you and say that I promise to correct my mistakes and come back stronger, to say that there is a strength within our hearts and this strength is greater than anything under the heavens, (I hope you understood the message. See you soon, thank you to my family, my friends, and my fans, without you, my story would not be possible. Thank you very much,” he concluded.
