Jon Jones x Tom aspinall It's a fight that hasn't been confirmed yet, but it's on the minds of many fans. There are doubts about which of the two UFC heavyweight champions (up to 120,2kg) will leave the octagon with their hands raised in a possible title unification fight. Would it be 'Bones' and his infinite arsenal or the young British fighter with his powerful fists?
A UFC Hall of Famer claims to have the answer to this riddle. Michael Bisping have full confidence that Tom aspinall will be responsible for solving the puzzle of Jon Jones, and quite easily. The interim heavyweight champion is currently a slight favorite to beat underdog Jones, according to bookmakers. Bisping doesn't disagree with the odds.

“And he should be. Listen, Jon Jones is great, and you can't deny what he's done in the octagon, the career he's had, and he's technically undefeated. However, everyone meets their match eventually. I think Tom aspinall he's the new generation, he's the new breed, and he'll probably be remembered as the greatest mixed martial artist we've ever had. He's elite as a heavyweight. A lot of the heavyweights are very good, they're very strong, they're powerful, but they're not as fast, agile and technical as Tom. Tom is the complete package. Tom is like a heavyweight Georges St-Pierre. He has no weaknesses. He has absolute knockout power, super disciplined, super agile on the feet, he finishes everybody very, very quickly. However, he hasn't faced anyone like Jon Jones because the competition in the heavyweight division is not necessarily there on a technical level. Jon Jones is, and Jon Jones He fought much better competition than Tom, but Jon also didn't fight anyone like Tom," Bisping explained in an interview with Carl Froch.
Aspinall's last five wins have come by first-round knockout, and 14 of his 15 professional victories have come in the first round. Bisping even went as far as to say that Jones would suffer the same fate as Aspinall's previous opponents.
“I would be very surprised – and this sounds disrespectful, but I would be very surprised if he made it past the first round,” Bisping said.
While negotiations for the super fight are moving slowly, the two fighters have been heating things up with a series of provocations outside the octagon.
