As much as Brazil has made a huge contribution to the history of MMA, the attitudes of some representatives of the nation have made them true enemies of several personalities in the sport. Michael Bisping, for example, the conduct of Vitor belfort in relation to the use of Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) in the last decade transformed the carioca into persona non grata .

In an interview with former British boxer Carl Froch on YouTube, the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9 lbs.) and Hall of Famer was asked who he considered the biggest coward in MMA history. Without hesitation, he chose Belfort, who knocked him out with a kick to the head in 2013.

“Ah, Vitor belfort. A Brazilian steroid machine. You know, one of the biggest cheaters in all of sports. Now we have contracts, we have drug tests and all that kind of stuff. More importantly, as a man, you should be like, 'I'm just trying to beat you fair and square.' Waking up in the morning, going for a run, going to the gym, but this n***a was taking every steroid under the sun," he blasted.

Bisping's accusations are the result of some controversies the Brazilian has experienced. In addition to having failed a drug test in 2006, Belfort enjoyed one of the best phases of his career in 2013, when he was using TRT, which was later banned after he was caught with testosterone levels above the permitted limit in a surprise test in February 2014.

Bisping was UFC champion

Due to the Brazilian's kick, Bisping suffered a detached retina in his right eye, which ended up leaving him blind over the years. Despite this, he managed to bypass the Ultimate's medical supervision and become champion of the category in 2016, by knocking out Luke Rockhold in the first round.
