Next rival of Diego lopes in the octagon of UFC 314, Alexander Volkanovsky adopts a sincere stance when analyzing the Brazilian's chances of beating him on April 12, in Miami (USA). Aware of his opponent's violent style, the former featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg) suggested that his rival maintain the same stance, as his only chance of winning will be this way.
“They can get me, so I think he needs to be reckless to beat me. If he (Diego) tries to make this perfect fight, it’s not going to work. He needs to try to be reckless and get me. That’s his best chance, so he’s going to do what we all know he’s going to do and what he’s been doing, which is exciting for the fans, but it opens a lot of doors for me. (There’s) a lot that I can capitalize on and that I will capitalize on,” Volkanovski said in an interview with Fox Sports Australian.

Despite being a legitimate black belt in jiu-jitsu, the fighter from Manaus proves with every appearance that he has a great ability to hurt his opponents using strikes while standing.
On the other hand, Volkanovski seeks to regain the featherweight title and consequently return to winning ways after suffering two consecutive knockouts. Protagonists of UFC 314, the fighters land in Miami to face each other for the vacant belt in the category on April 12.
