Away from the stage for some time, Nego do Borel found reasons to smile… in the ring! The funk singer, who has been dedicating himself more and more to boxing, won his first victory in the noble art this Saturday (29). The fight was against influencer Diego Aguiar in the 'Funk Crypto Fight', which had its first edition in Rio de Janeiro, combining sport, music and social action.

Nego do Borel was led to the ring by singer MC Maneirinho, who sang live during his entrance. Even against a taller and heavier opponent, the funk singer's victory came in an exciting way on points, in a unanimous decision by the judges.

After his victory was announced, the funk singer showed excitement and launched two new challenges, including a rematch against the son of presenter Otáveio Mesquita, Luiz Otávio Mesquita.

“This is the first of many victories that will come. And I'm going to tell you, I'm going to São Paulo and I'm going to take the belt from Mesquitinha (Luiz Mesquita). I want to challenge him and Biel,” said Nego do Borel.

At 32 years old, it was the funk singer's first triumph after suffering defeats to MC Gui and Luiz Mesquita. In February of last year, at Fight Music Show 4, Borel was knocked out by MC Gui in the third round. In the fifth edition of FMS, in October, was defeated by Luiz Mesquita, also by knockout, in the fifth round.
