Undefeated in the UFC, Carlos Prates was taken by surprise this Saturday (29) when he saw his opponent on April 12th in UFC 314, Geoff neal, give up the fight. The reason for cancellation was an undisclosed injury to the American. However, Jon Anik, official UFC commentator, said that the company has 'big plans' for 'The Nightmare', which will be announced soon.

And by the way Carlos Prates confirmed that something big is coming. On Sunday morning (30), the representative of 'The Fighting Nerds' gave an important hint on social media and launched a mystery to fans.

'The Nightmare' is currently on a four-fight winning streak since earning a contract through Dana White's 'Contender Series', with his last win coming against Neil Magny. Prates is still outside the top 10 in the welterweight category (up to 77kg), however, the division has undergone a major turnaround recently when Sean brady dominated Leon edwards in the main event of UFC London, last week.
Brady's win highlighted that there is a transition period happening near the top of the division, with Prates hopeful he will be a part of it.
