Underdog in the bookmakers, Melquizael prevails in a balanced duel against an American of Mexican descent

The first Brazilian victory in UFC Mexico has a first and last name: Melquizael Costa. The featherweight (up to 65,7 kg) from Pará beat the favorite Christian rodriguez and emerged victorious by unanimous decision of the judges (29-28, 29-28, 29-28). In a balanced fight, 'Melk' suffered with the constant takedowns of the American of Mexican descent, but putting his jiu-jitsu black belt into action, he managed important lifts and reversals to emerge with the triumph.
