Conor McGregor was considered an 'easy fight' by Chad Mendes. But when the two met at UFC 189, the American was knocked out in the second round of the featherweight title fight (up to 65,7 kg). The intriguing statement was explained by the fighter who had the most difficulty in the duel with José Aldo.

“When people ask who my toughest opponent was, everyone automatically assumes Conor because it’s Conor McGregoe. But in all honesty, Conor would have been an easy fight if I was in shape,” Mendes said in interview to 'Radical Health Radio'.
“Aldo is much more athletic, explosive, strong, with great jiu-jitsu and unbelievable striking. Conor’s game at that point was striking. When I took him down, he was the kind of guy who made the fight easy for a guy like me, where he just held on,” he said.
McGregor opens up about retirement
Conor McGregor returned to notoriety reveal a dream unusual: being an Irish fighting president. During a press conference for the organization in which he is a partner, BKFC, 'Notorious' responded to the question about his continuity in the world of fighting by hoisting sails to the winds of politics.
“I have two fights on my contract, I’m in negotiations, last week something happened to me, I went to the White House, and my heart bleeds for my country right now. So there’s a lot of things going on at home, I’m happy with what I did. There’s something else for me that’s in my gut right now and that’s where I’m going. So we’ll see,” McGregor said.
