Record held by Vitor Belfort for almost 30 years could be broken by prodigy at UFC Mexico

At 20 years of age, Raúl Rosas Jr.. has already made history as the youngest athlete to be signed by the UFC, when he was just 17, and also the youngest to debut and win a fight in the organization, at 18. This Saturday (29), at UFC Mexico, the Mexican prodigy tries to add another brand to his collection and could break a record that belongs to the Brazilian Vitor belfort almost 30 years ago.

If you defeat Vince Morales, Raúl Rosas Jr.. will become the youngest athlete to reach the five-fight UFC win mark, at 20 years and 177 days. The current record holder is Vitor belfort, who reached his fifth victory by knocking out Wanderlei Silva at UFC 17.5 in 1998, when he was 21 years and 203 days old.

Signed through the Contender Series in 2022, Raúl Rosas Jr. debuted in the same year, ending Jay Perrin. The Mexican prodigy ended up suffering the first defeat of his career in his second appearance in the UFC, against Christian rodriguez, but recovered and lined up Terrence Mitchell, Ricky Turcios e Aoriqileng.

In addition to the brand of Vitor belfort, another record in sight Raúl Rosas Jr. is the Jon Jones, who became the youngest champion in UFC history at 23 years old.
