Since being cut from the UFC, 'The Punisher' has made it clear that he would like to return someday to fulfill his legacy. Mokaev was highly praised during his time with the promotion and was expected to become the youngest UFC champion, breaking the record for Jon Jones. After his departure, he returned to promotion where he began his MMA career, BRAVE CF, earning a first-round submission victory last December.
On Wednesday (26), Mokaev surprised by announcing that his next fight will take place at Karate Combat, on May 2, in Dubai, at KC54.
“My first sport was karate, then I switched to wrestling. I just want to compete and stay active and build my striking experience. I will always have a plan B, which is wrestling, but I need to work on plan A,” Mokaev revealed in a post on 'X'.
