Sometimes it’s difficult because you start off injured, but this time I started well, and there are a lot of people in the gym helping me. There’s Kamaru, there’s Vicente, there’s jason jackson…", he said Gilbert Durinho.
Durinho plans to use grappling to nullify Morales and finish the fight
Thirteen years older than his opponent, Burns says his plan is to use his experience to nullify the young fighter's momentum, return to his roots with his Jiu-Jitsu and seek the submission.
“There’s not much to hide, no. The game is going to be to get heavy on this guy and take him down, pay attention to the distance, move around a lot, because he’s a young guy, he’s willing, but he doesn’t have the experience that I have. I’m going to use this experience, apply the strategy well, use jiu-jitsu, take this guy down, crush him and finish him,” concluded the world champion in the gentle art.
At 38 years old, Durinho is coming off losses to Belal Muhammad |, Jack Della Maddalena e Sean brady. His opponent, 25, remains undefeated, with 17 wins in 17 fights. Durinho and Morales face each other in the main fight of the UFC 315, scheduled for May 10th.
