Alex Poatán is holding his head high, even after the defeat to Magomed Ankalayev No. UFC 313. The Brazilian, who was defeated after five consecutive victories in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg), says he remains motivated to regain the title.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Poatan showed a positive and determined attitude towards his career. He highlighted that he has achieved things he never imagined and, despite the setback, he remains focused on winning back the belt.
“My head is very good. Everything I’ve been through in my life is something I never imagined I would achieve, everything I’ve achieved. So, I can say that I achieved what I never imagined. What’s coming now is profit, but even so, I’m very motivated to get my belt again. Nothing has changed,” revealed Poatan.
Although the clash between Poatan and Ankalaev is recent, a rematch between the fighters seems inevitable. The Russian has already stated that he has accepted the new duel for August and is just waiting for the Brazilian to give the 'ok'.
