In the co-main fight of UFC London, Jan Blachowicz was defeated by Carlos Ulberg in a duel that was possibly worth a spot in the fight for the light heavyweight title (up to 93kg). However, the New Zealander had not managed to clearly impose himself throughout the duel and after three rounds of action, the official result ended up frustrating the audience present, who preferred the Polish victory.

Speaking for the first time after the result, through a post on Instagram, the former champion, who has now gone three fights without a win, praised his preparation and the treatment he received from the UFC during fight week, despite the outcome not going as planned.
“This camp was one of the best I've ever had. I missed it, every part of this game. The reception and support during fight week UFC London The entire UFC team has been amazing – I knew you missed me, but I had no idea it was this much! Thank you!” the Pole wrote.
Although he did not contest the decision, Blachowicz made some indirect comments about the result. He also said he was happy with the fans' support, despite the defeat, which will forever be on his record.
“More controversy on my record, as it seems that the approach to significant strikes is not aligned with the true meaning of the term. I leave the verdict for discussion. What happened in the stands after the announcement and what is happening online now speaks volumes. I appreciate that, but the verdict is in and, unfortunately, it will remain on my record.
