Former rival of Leon edwards, Colby covington shows that he is following in the footsteps of the former welterweight champion (up to 77,1 kg) in the organization. When commenting on the Englishman's defeat in the UFC London, the veteran said he no longer sees motivation in 'Rocky' since he faced him in the octagon and was defeated by unanimous decision of the judges.
“I thought after my fight with Leon, his motivation was gone. I can tell you that in the fight, I broke my foot right away and he didn’t do anything. I can tell you that after that fight, he just wasn’t hungry anymore. He made a lot of money. I made him a lot of money in that press conference. So I think he’s not motivated anymore and he should hang up the gloves,” Colby said during an interview with Submission Radio.

Despite Covington's statement, Edwards had admitted before his latest engagement that preparation for UFC London was one of the best of his career. So far, the Englishman has not yet spoken out after being submitted in the main fight of the event.
