The poor performance and the 'run over' suffered by Leon edwards against Sean brady in the main fight of UFC London, last Saturday (22), cost the former welterweight champion (up to 77,1 kg) dearly. In addition to moving away from a new opportunity to fight for the belt, the British lost his place in the UFC pound-for-pound ranking, of which he had been a part since winning the title in August 320.
'Rocky', who entered the octagon of UFC London as the 13th best fighter in the world, regardless of category, according to the official ranking, he no longer appeared in the top 15 in an update promoted in the early hours of this Tuesday (25).

Who 'inherited' the vacancy left by Leon edwards was the lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) Arman Tsarukyan. The 28-year-old Armenian is ranked first in his category and would have been the last challenger for the belt. Islam makhachev if it weren't for an injury suffered the day before UFC 311, in January, when he was replaced by the Brazilian Renato Moicano.
Arman Tsarukyan was not the only one to benefit from the departure of Leon edwards of the pound-for-pound ranking. Charles of the Bronx, Sean O'Malley and Max Holloway, which occupied the last three positions in the ranking, ended up moving up one position each.
