Announced as UFC's new signing this weekend, Takanori Gomi could debut in the organization against a quarry. According to UFC president, Dana White, the Japanese star is expected to debut in the octagon against the black belt Kenny Florian, who recently challenged for the organization's lightweight belt and was defeated by B.J. Penn in UFC-101, but managed to recover and is coming off a victory over Clay guida at UFC-107.
“Could be,” said White, when asked about the duel between Gomi and Florian. “Although there are a lot of guys in the division that Gomi could face,” said the manager.
The debut of “Fireball Kid” in Ultimate does not yet have a scheduled date, but according to several international outlets it should take place between the end of March and the beginning of May.
