Last Saturday (22) was marked by another chapter in the growing rivalry between Magomed Ankalayev e Jiri Prochazka. After Carlos Ulberg win Jan Blachowicz by unanimous decision in the UFC London, the Russian used social media to suggest a new challenge to the New Zealander and took the opportunity to take a swipe at the Czech.

In a post on the 'X' platform (formerly Twitter), Ankalaev wrote: “Carlos x Fake Ninja”, labelling Prochazka in a pejorative way. The term 'fake ninja' appears to refer to Prochazka's unconventional style, which incorporates movements inspired by Asian martial arts and mystical training.

The provocation came amid the rise of Ulberg, who secured his eighth consecutive victory in the organization. The New Zealander, known for his aggressive style and speed, overcame the cautious strategy of Blachowicz, a former champion in the category, and has already expressed interest in facing Ankalaev himself.

The Russian, however, has another focus: Alex Poatán. Still on his official account, he declared that the Brazilian is the 'only one who deserves' a chance at the title in the up to 93kg division. The rematch is being negotiated for the middle of the current season.
