After losing the UFC light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg) to Magomed Ankalayev No. UFC 313, in March this year, Alex Poatán was seen in Monaco in moments of relaxation. Images published on YouTube show the former champion walking through the streets of the European principality. At the event, the Brazilian danced the 'passinho' alongside Jully Poca and Johnny Walker and his coach, Plínio Cruz, in a video shared on Instagram.
In parallel, social media posts revealed his presence at the birthday party of David Natro, an online gambling entrepreneur. He also posed for photos with Merab Dvalishvili, UFC bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg).

The loss to Ankalaev marks the second time Poatan has lost a UFC title — the first was to Israel adesanya, in 2023, for the middleweight belt. Now, the challenge is to regain the prominent position in a division dominated by versatile style fighters. The UFC has not yet officially confirmed the date of the rematch, but speculation indicates that the event should take place in August.
No UFC 313, held in Las Vegas, Magomed imposed a strategy of constant pressure to neutralize Alex's striking style. Although the Brazilian landed more significant strikes (21 to 17), the Russian led in hits to the head (5x4) and body (6x2). The victory extended Ankalaev's unbeaten streak to 14 fights in the UFC and secured his first title in the organization.
