Magomed Ankalayev publicly defended the priority of Alex Poatán for a rematch for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg), after the controversial victory de Carlos Ulberg about Jan Blachowicz No. UFC London, held last Saturday (22).
The Russian used his social media to highlight that the Brazilian deserves 'more than anyone' the opportunity to regain the title, even with the New Zealander extending his streak to eight consecutive triumphs in the co-main event of the night.

“Good win for Carlos, but Alex is next. He deserves it more than anyone,” Ankalaev wrote on his official 'X' (formerly Twitter) account.
The duel between Ulberg and Blachowicz, valid for the main card of the event in the British capital, ended with a unanimous decision in favor of the New Zealander, but did not escape criticism for its cautious pace.
In the first round, the Polish fighter dominated the center of the octagon, investing in kicks to maintain distance, while his opponent avoided direct exchanges. From the second round onwards, however, the City Kickboxing student increased the volume of strikes, with an emphasis on low kicks and a precise cross in the third round.
Blachowicz, visibly tired, tried to accelerate towards the end, but was unable to contain Ulberg's defensive strategy, which neutralized all of his takedown attempts. After the fight, the New Zealander expressed interest in 'jumping the queue' for the organization's title.
Good win for Carlos but Alex is next. He deserves it more than anyone.
