Weeks after losing his place in the top 15 of the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg), BoNickal secured the chance to get it back. Last Wednesday (12), Ultimate announced that the American will face the Dutch ranked Ridder's Reinier in a three-round fight on the main card of UFC Des Moines, on May 3, in the capital of the state of Iowa.
College wrestling legend, BoNickal is considered one of the main promises of the UFC today. At 29 years old, the American is undefeated in professional MMA with seven victories, four of them in the UFC and the last one over Paul Craig, in November last year.

Nickal's opponent, Ridder's Reinier is ranked 15th in the category. A former two-category champion in ONE Championship, the 'Dutch Knight' reached this position by submitting, consecutively, Gerald meerschaert and most recently Kevin holland, in January.
With BoNickal e Ridder's Reinier scheduled, UFC Des Moines marks the organization's first visit to the capital of the state of Iowa and has as its main attraction the bantamweight duel (up to 61,2 kg) between Deiveson Figueiredo e Cory Sandhagen, in addition to the return of the veteran Jeremy Stephens to the octagon, facing Mason Jones.
