After a year of 2024 to forget, Johnny Walker has already scheduled his first commitment for 2025. According to information from the North American website 'MMA Junkie', the Brazilian light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) faces the undefeated Russian Azamat Murzakanov at a UFC event on May 17, with no location yet defined, but scheduled to take place in Qatar.
Tenth place in the category ranking, Johnny Walker has not won since May 2023, when he beat Anthony Smith. Since then, the Brazilian has been involved in a fight without result against Magomed Ankalayev, ended up being knocked out by the current champion in the rematch, in January of last year, and, months later, in June, he met the same end against the Swiss Volkan oezdemir.

Signed by Contender Series in 2021, the 'Professional', as he is nicknamed, has already overcome four opponents in the UFC, three of them by knockout and the last Alonzo Menifield, in August last year. The Russian is ranked 12th.
The May 17th event still has no confirmed main fight. So far, Johnny Walker is the only Brazilian confirmed for the event, which should take place at the Lusail Sports Arena, in Qatar.
