Hardly knocked out in 2019 when he fought for the lightweight title against Patricio Pibtull at Bellator, Michael chandler He says he does not want the chance to take revenge on the athlete in any way. Aware that the Brazilian is now part of the UFC roster, the veteran stated that he will not pursue a duel and explained that there were no provocations after the arrival of the athlete from Rio Grande do Norte in the organization.
“Yeah, I’m not interested in reliving anything. I’m not a guy who tries to get revenge for anything, and I’m not a guy who likes to have any animosity. Obviously, I knocked his brother out almost twice, and I definitely knocked him out once pretty hard. I think there was a miscommunication with the language barrier,” Chandler told CBSSports.

As he continued speaking, Chandler celebrated the fact that he was present on the same card as the Brazilian on April 12th at UFC 314 and assured to try to minimize rivalry between the two.
“He is a 66kg fighter, I am a 70kg fighter, I have no interest in fighting with Patricio pitbull, but it will be interesting to share the same card with him. And when I see him, I will shake his hand respectfully, maybe even apologize for the miscommunications in the past. Let's put the past behind us. You don't need to waste your energy on me. Focus on trying to become the UFC featherweight champion,” he concluded.

Scheduled to debut in UFC 314, on April 12, Pitbull prepares to face Yair Rodriguez in Miami. Also present at the event, Chandler faces Paddy Pimblett. Currently the fighters are in different categories.
