With a knockout after beautiful spinning kick against King Green, it is safe to say that Mauricio Ruffy stole the show UFC 313. In this context, and at just 28 years old, the lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) appears as one of the main representatives of the future of the Ultimate's most populous category. Apparently, this is what Jon Anik, the organization's official narrator, believes.

In an interview with the North American website 'Bloody elbow' this Wednesday (12), Anik praised the Brazilian's performance last Saturday and said he wanted to see him in a more prominent fight in his next appearance in the octagon.
"Mauricio Ruffy “It’s a sight to behold, bro. I don’t remember reacting to a knockout like that, holding in an ‘OH’ for as long as I did this weekend. I’d really like to see him get that big prominent fight and maybe a (main) event,” the announcer said.

Ruffy's success is just another example of the work done at the Fighting Nerds academy, which has been taking the MMA world by storm recently. In this context, Anik congratulated Pablo Sucupira, leader of the team responsible for the performances of other names such as: Caio Borralho, Carlos Prates e Jean Silva. In total, the four have 18 wins and no losses in the biggest MMA event in the world.
“I would say, Mauricio Ruffy (has the highest ceiling on that team). So, Pablo Sucupira is the head coach of the Fighting Nerds, and you have a lot of these head coaches like Morne Visser and they are able to get incredible things out of their athletes,” the narrator concluded.
