One of the most anticipated fights of the UFC 312, in Australia, is not even part of the main card. Away from the famous names of the event, there is a newcomer who catches the attention of the press and fans. This is Alexander Topuria, brother of the featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg.) Ilia Topuria. The rookie will face Australian Colby Thicknesse in a duel valid for bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg).

'El Cazador' is the eldest of the two brothers. Sin doubt, he has a big challenge to meet if he decides to follow in Ilia's footsteps with everything that 'El Matador' has managed to achieve. However, the champion's manager is confident in this possibility. And what's more: he's increasing the bet.
“If it took Ilia four years to become a champion, Aleksandre can do it even faster. I give it two or three years,” Lukasz Orzel – the brothers’ manager – told 'Red Corner MMA'.
Ilia Topuria's UFC brother
Alexander Topuria makes his debut in the world's largest MMA organization on Saturday (8). The brother of the UFC featherweight champion has never fought more than one fight for the same promotion. In a record of few fights, there is only one loss recorded. On the other hand, there are five victories. All by quick way. Two by submission and three by knockout.
