By this point in the game, most MMA consumers around the world know that Sean Strickland may not be the ideal figure to face in a training session. However, for some, the opportunity to exchange punches with the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) is too tempting to be denied, and that's what happened this Wednesday (5). A fan went up on stage during the fighter's open training in Sydney after being invited by the American, and by serving as sparring, ended up getting the worst of it.

In the video, the training session is clearly friendly, with everyone involved smiling and chatting as they exchange blows. However, at one point, Strickland lands a solid blow to the fan's waistline, forcing him to kneel down on the ground.

Despite the impact of the blow, the man smiles and gets back on his feet a few seconds later, continuing to exchange punches for a while longer. After knocking the fan down, Strickland hugs him and the two seem to be in agreement on the intensity of the training.
This was not the first time that an episode like this happened. In the week of the fight with Israel adesanya, in September 2023, Strickland also engaged in a slightly more aggressive training session with a fan present at the scene. The American is known for training aggressively. Several videos in which he knocks out training partners have already gone viral on social media.
