After beating Jamahal Hill, Czech fighter now knows which path to take to regain the welterweight belt

More than two weeks have passed since Jiri Prochazka derrotou Jamahal hill No. UFC 311, the 'Czech Samurai' is already thinking about his next fight in the organization. Spoiler alert! He's not looking at anyone other than the top three contenders in the light heavyweight rankings (up to 93kg).

In an ideal world, Prochazka would like to fight for the title the very next time he steps into the Octagon. But that will have to wait at least until after Alex Poatán defend the category crown against Magomed Ankalayev in the main event of UFC 313, which takes place on March 8th in Las Vegas (USA). Willing to feel the taste of being champion again, the Czech fighter has Poatan, Ankalaev or Jan Blachowicz.

Blachowicz is one of only two UFC fighters to go the distance against Poatan, though the Pole came up on the short side of a split decision in 2023. The Brazilian then won the vacant title with a knockout victory over Prochazka and has now defended his title three times, which includes another knockout win over Prochazka in their rematch last year.

Meanwhile, Prochazka alternated knockout wins over Aleksandar rakic ​​and Jamahal hill between his title defeats.
