Conor McGregor will sit in the dock once again on suspicion of the crime of sexual assault. A lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court in South Florida on Tuesday (14). The case to be tried would have occurred after a Miami Heat basketball game in 2023.

The victim is identified as a 49-year-old woman 'employed as a senior vice president on Wall Street at a high-profile financial institution.'
McGregor is listed in the process, along with the Miami Heat, after the Irish fighter allegedly abused the victim in the bathroom during an NBA Finals game. An investigation into the incident was launched at the time, but no criminal charges were filed.
Now, the alleged victim is seeking compensation in the lawsuit for “past and future medical treatment, compensatory damages and costs” and is trying to maintain the right to also seek punitive damages.

In November, a civil jury in Ireland condemned Conor McGregor for sexually assaulting a woman in a luxury hotel in Dublin after a party in December 2018. As it was a civil conviction, the decision did not imply criminal consequences, such as prison, but resulted in compensation of 250 thousand euros (around R$ 1,5 million) from the fighter to the victim Nikita Hand.
