In a duel valid for the lightweight category (up to 70,3 kg), Thiago Moses presented his main weapon to the American. In the three-round duel on the preliminary card of the UFC Las Vegas 101, the Brazilian undermined the left leg of Trey Ogden with strong low kicks and won his eighth victory in the organization.

With the positive result, the 29-year-old Brazilian returned to winning ways after a defeat in June last year. Ogden, in turn, suffered his seventh defeat in 18 career fights and had his streak of two consecutive triumphs broken.

Although Thiago Moses Although he started the fight with strong low kicks that gradually undermined his opponent's calf, the American managed to find his distance. With feints, quick hands and powerful jabs, Ogden managed to dictate the pace in the final stretch of the round.

In the second half, the American started with a greater volume of strikes and connected the best hand strikes. However, after another strong kick to the calf, Ogden was forced to go to the ground, where he was dominated by the Brazilian, who worked strong elbows.

With the fight theoretically tied, the fighters returned for the final round knowing that they needed to impose their game to come out on top. After a takedown that surprised the Brazilian, Ogden ended up falling on the bottom and, once again, suffering from elbows that opened a cut on his eyebrow.

In the end, the Brazilian had his arm raised in the judges' decision.
