Bruno Lopes imposes grappling and defeats Dagestani at UFC Las Vegas 101

With dominance in the clinch and an efficient takedown strategy, the Brazilian overcame Magomed Gadzhiyasulov

Bruno Lopes, in his UFC debut, he starred in a duel valid for the light heavyweight category (up to 93 kg) and suffered the first defeat in his career. Magomed Gadzhiyasulov. The athletes began the fight with a strong exchange of strikes on their feet. Halfway through the round, the Brazilian took advantage of a kick from his opponent and tried to take the fight to the ground. After Magomed defended the takedown, Bruno spent the rest of the time dominating the clinch.

In a duel valid for the lightweight category (up to 70,3 kg), Nurullo Aliev got a takedown in the first minute of the fight. However, while trying to progress on the ground, Joe Solecki He showed danger even with his back to the ground and almost managed a triangle choke.

For the straw weight category (up to 52,3 kg), Victoria Dudakova came face to face with Fatima Kline. The Russian started the fight looking to take the fight to the ground and, after a lot of movement on the ground with attempts to control and submit, she ended up falling on the bottom. In the final stretch of the round, the North American managed to get to the mount.

In the second round, Dudakova put pressure on her opponent again, but after a slip, she ended up on bottom again. Kline seemed stronger during the movements and, in the final stretch of the round, she managed a technical knockout after a brutal sequence of elbows.
