Exclusive! Alexander Volkov reacts with surprise to rumors of possible fight with Alex Poatan

While the UFC has not made the next step official, Alex Poatán Within the organization, there is much speculation about who could be the light heavyweight champion's (up to 93 kg) next opponent in the octagon. Former Bellator and M-1 champion, Alexander Volkov has competed in the UFC heavyweight division since 2016, but has never reached a title shot in the organization. The Russian is currently ranked third in the rankings and had a four-fight winning streak interrupted by a split decision loss to Cyryl Gane, in December.

Alex Poatán He has been the light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) since November 2023 and has defended his title three times in 2024, a feat that earned him the 'Fighter of the Year' award. Although there is nothing set in stone regarding his future, the Brazilian has his name increasingly linked to UFC 313, which takes place on March 8th, in Las Vegas, and already has ten representatives from Brazil confirmed on the card.
